Tasting note: The wine is intense red in colour. There is a rich and complex bouquet. On the palate, it is very well structured, balanced, fine, persistent and very smooth.

Winery Introduction:

Argiolas is the foremost wine estate on the island of Sardinia, using the native varietals such as Cannonau, Bovale Sardo, and Carignano. Antonio Argiolas, who died in 2009 at the age of 102, inherited seven acres of vines from his father in 1938 and was the first on the island to convert to modern viticulture to pursue quality over quantity, consequently putting Sardinia on the world’s fine wine map. Today, Antonio's grandchildren preside over a 230 hectares estate that covers some of the finest vineyard locations in Sardinia, producing wines that, according to the Wine Advocate are 'essential tasting for anybody interested in learning about Sardinia and its wines’.
