Dark ruby/purple tinged colour. Lots of red fruit with cranberry and cherry, ripe nut, vanilla flavours, toast. On the palate a velvety and round texture. Good structure, purity and length with beautiful black cherry in the finish.
Château Clairac’s vineyards are situated close to Cars in the appellation Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, in the North of the right bank of the River Gironde. The already seventh generation of the Carreau family is responsible for the vinification of this charming and fruit-driven wine nevertheless is classic Bordeaux with good freshness. And Château Clairac is one of the best representatives of its appellation. One can often find very good qualities for reasonable money in the Blaye appellation and Clairac is one of the finds!
