N° Cinquante-six presents a pale-yellow hue flecked with gold. Delicious fragrances of hazelnut, fresh butter and almonds mingle with the wine’s lovely floral aromas. The palate, dominated by the Chardonnay, is fresh and airy, delicate and subtle. The lovely tart finish shows a touch of citrus and is the hallmark of a pure wine, worthy of the finest Blanc de Blancs.
With around 180 hectares spread over 22 communes, from Mancey in the North to Azé in the South, we have been creating a palette of the finest nuances of Burgundy with which to craft our wines for almost a century. Chardonnay is the predominant varietal with 133 hectares
planted, followed by Pinot Noir (32 hectares), Gamay (8 hectares) and a small amount of Aligoté. Over 100 wine-
growers work all year round on these ancient lands. It is the diversity of terroirs that gives our sparkling wines their power and their inimitable style. Thanks to the size of our vineyards dedicated to producing the Crémant base wines we can confidently claim to be the biggest producer of Crémant de Bourgogne.
