St Hallett Old Block is made from the oldest, finest Shiraz vines in the Barossa Valley and the Eden Valley (vine age between 80-120 years).
Scent: A floral scent filled with cherry and raspberry aromas, followed by leather, dark fruit, dried herbs, and nutmeg.
Taste: St Hallett Old Block has a balanced beauty and elegance. It begins with the scent of fresh fruit, followed by a variety of aromas of dark fruit, lasting distinctive aftertaste. Smooth tannins, layered into flavors. This is an elegant wine with a great complexity that will continue to evolve with time.
Storage capacity: If properly stored, the wine can be stored up to 25 years.
St Hallett Blackwell was named by Bob McLean in recognition of the dedication and hard work of persistent winemaker Stuart Blackwell.
Scent: Blackwell features notes of dark chocolate, wild black raspberry and a hint of clove, anise. Has a subtle violet flower scent, raspberry flavor when the wine begins to shine.
Taste: Clear black cherry flavor. Multiple minerals and complex texture, with a fruity, spice and pepper flavor. Put on plump tannins, complex structure and long aftertaste with a lingering pepper scent.
